    Synopsis

    This forum will discuss how federal policy changes affecting the nation’s health care system will impact your patients and your practice. Specific topics to be discussed will include the implications of the federal health reform law and how various payment reform efforts may affect future OMS reimbursement.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Describe the changes found in the Affordable Care Act, its subsequent regulations and other federal initiatives designed to improve the nation's health care delivery system;
    2. Differentiate the potential payment reform models and interpret how they will change reimbursement for oral and maxillofacial surgeons; and
    3. Describe how the ACA has led to broader changes in access to care.
