This preconference program will focus on the ‘hot topics’ in facial rejuvenation of the lower facial third, with a comprehensive discussion of presurgical evaluation and the variety of procedures that can be offered to patients. All surgical treatment modalities will focus on clinical indications, a discussion of surgical techniques, post-operative considerations, and adverse outcomes and sequelae. Attention will be given to such hard and soft tissue procedures, neck lifting, facial volume restoration with implants and osteotomies, liposculpturing techniques, and orthognathic surgery. A panel for case discussion will follow each major topic area with an ‘Ask the Expert’ session.
- Evaluate and examine the aging lower facial structures;
- Describe the regional anatomy of the lower facial third, both soft and hard tissues;
- Compare the indications and contraindications for the various procedures offered to rejuvenate the lower face;
- Apply soft and hard tissue rejuvenation with minimally invasive procedures and techniques; and
- Identify complications of lower facial surgical procedures.
