Synopsis

The plenary session will present an evidence-based approach toward management of patients with unerupted teeth. The presenters will emphasize indications, treatment alternatives, and outcome assessment. Attendees are assumed to have reviewed the pre-requisite reading material.

Learning Objectives
  1. Define the indications for extraction versus guided eruption of impacted teeth;
  2. Describe the indicators that define the outcomes of care for patients with impacted teeth;
  3. Describe best practices in care of patients with impacted teeth;
  4. Describe techniques to reduce the risk of nerve damage;
  5. Describe the positive and negative aspects of virtual surgical planning; and
  6. Discuss how virtual surgical planning may improve interdisciplinary care of your patients.
