Synopsis

This open forum will familiarize residents with on the accomplishments of the Resident Organization this past year, and those interested in serving as a member of the executive committee on the projects, policies and protocols of the organization and board certification. This program will provide residents the opportunity to learn the details about the organization, how to become an active participant, duties and responsibilities of the executive committee and the board certification process.

Learning Objectives
  1. Understand the structure of ROAAOMS;
  2. Recognize the committee involvement in AAOMS and the dental student community;
  3. Understand the operating guidelines and strategic plan of the resident organization;
  4. Identify the duties and responsibilities of the executive committee and the effectiveness of the committee and various liaisons; and
  5. Understand the board certification process and deadlines.
