Synopsis

The speaker will provide practical strategies for evaluation and management of adult and pediatric orbital trauma. The presentation includes clinically relevant information on orbit anatomy/physiology; examination of the orbit trauma patient; and indications, timing, surgical techniques and pitfalls in orbit fracture management.

  1. Perform a clinical evaluation of a patient with orbital trauma;
  2. Articulate the indications for repair and timing considerations in the management of orbital fractures; and
  3. Employ sound surgical methods in the exposure and repair of orbital fractures and avoidance of complications.
