Synopsis

This course will explore the reconstruction of the atrophic maxilla with zygoma implants vs bone grafting with titanium mesh and conventional implants. The management of segmental defects using inlay and other techniques will be discussed.

Learning Objectives
  1. Recognize the indication for zygoma implants in the maxilla;
  2. Explain how zygoma implants can be used to reconstruct the maxilla in a variety of cases; and
  3. Utilize techniques for bone grafting in the maxilla.
