    Synopsis

    This course will present useful clinical techniques to help avoid the creation of additional facial scars and soft tissue deficits when treating the trauma patient, and to effectively manage any tissue injuries sustained in the postoperative period.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Recognize and apply surgical approaches to the facial skeleton that minimize, or eliminate the creation of new facial scars;
    2. Appraise and assess the various soft tissue deficits encountered with the secondary management of patients with craniomaxillofacial injuries; and
    3. Predict the characteristic soft tissue deficits that will develop with the use of classically described surgical approaches to the facial skeleton.
