    Synopsis

    With age, skin and muscle laxity needs to be addressed in order to achieve an optimal result when recontouring the lower face. The speaker will introduce the spectrum of submental liposuction, platysmaplasty, mini-lifts, facelifts, complications and postoperative management.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Diagnose cosmetic deformities that affect the lower face and recognize the appropriate surgical interventions that may alleviate these cosmetic deformities;
    2. Perform the available step-by-step techniques to rejuvenate and recontour the lower face including submental liposuction, chin augmentation, platymaplasty, and skin tightening procedures; and
    3. Determine appropriate postoperative patient management including adequate diagnosis and treatment of complications.
