Synopsis
Medication-related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (MRONJ) management guidelines continue to recommend a non-surgical approach except for advanced cases. The speakers will review the history of (MRONJ) and its treatment, with emphasis on early surgical management with curative intent.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the etiology and pathogenesis of MRONJ;
- Identify education issues and communication gaps between OMS and our medical colleagues regarding MRONJ prevention and management; and
- Demonstrate the surgical management of MRONJ.
