Synopsis

This course is sold out. Soft tissue grafting and other periodontal procedures are necessary to improve the esthetics around natural teeth and implants. Patients often present with tissue deficiency in regard to quality and quantity of the gingivae. Other patients present with tissue excess, also known as the "gummy smile." This course will review predictable techniques to address these problems. Participants will acquire a periodontal perspective that complements their oral surgery and implant procedures. Participants will learn about root coverage techniques as well as methods to improve the soft tissue quality of prospective implant sites. Other techniques demonstrated will include improving the emergence profile of implant restorations and uncovering implants. The course will enhance the knowledge of oral and maxillofacial surgeons in providing comprehensive and predictable esthetic outcomes for patients.

This session will break from 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM.
Please note: This is a hands-on course requiring attendees to work with pig and sheep jaws.
