Synopsis

This session will systematically review the preoperative evaluation of the patient that is critical to achieving an esthetic restoration. Based on the pretreatment evaluation, appropriate steps can be followed to achieve the esthetic result. Emphasis will be on treatment planning with examples of appropriate surgical treatments that refine and define the esthetic site. The use of immediate provisionals will be discussed to emphasize guiding soft tissue development.

This session will break from 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM.

Learning Objectives
  1. Identify the critical pretreatment findings that dictate specific steps needed to achieve an esthetic restoration;
  2. Describe the surgical procedures necessary to achieve the esthetic restorative rehabilitation of the patient; and
  3. Discuss the short- and long-term effects of guiding soft tissue development.
