Synopsis

This afternoon will revisit the current state of the art on implant surfaces, abutment designs, interface improvements which preserve bone, and an update on graft materials. Each speaker will be asked to do their own literature analysis and then show clinical results to demonstrate their thoughts.

Learning Objectives
  1. Identify the driving mechanisms that are critical for bone deposition on an implant surface;
  2. Describe the influence of the abutment implant connection and why bone loss can be controlled over time; and
  3. Classify the materials available for grafting and their specific indications.
