Synopsis
This session will review and demonstrate effective implant solutions for patients who have lost significant portions of their jaws. The etiology of the problems may include tumor removal or trauma, with subsequent reconstruction allowing the patient to return to a relatively normal lifestyle. The second session will demonstrate the state of the art in reconstructing patients who have congenital deformities emphasizing cleft palate deformities and significant anodontia. The timing of grafting and implant placement will be discussed.
