Synopsis

A spirited point-counter point discussion with interaction from the audience will consider the use of various methods for achieving optimal soft tissue quality and quantity on anterior restorations. This session will also provide an update on malpractice issues related to implant use.

Learning Objectives
  1. Describe why soft tissue grafts can enhance the soft tissue profile around an anterior maxillary implant restoration.
  2. Recognize how an abutment can influence soft tissue around an anterior maxillary implant restoration.
  3. Describe the influence of the underlying bone with minimal abutment changes on stability of the soft tissue profile around an anterior maxillary implant restoration.
  4. Examine the most common reasons for malpractice complaints concerning implants.
