This is a non-ticketed session.
Moderator:

Jay P. Malmquist, DMD
Portland, OR, USA

CDE/CME Offered: CDE/CME
Synopsis

This session will focus on the application of currently available digital techniques to enhance patient care. The ability to use cone beam scanning with intraoral scanners enables multiple planning options for the treating team. Speakers will introduce the technology and then conduct focused discussion on the use of this technology to virtually plan the restorative case, implant placement, fabrication of guides, and the creation of custom abutments and provisional crowns without the use of conventional impressions.

Learning Objectives
  1. Examine the methods to collect digital information on the patient.
  2. Describe the accuracy of the digital information collected for implant placement and restoration development.
  3. Examine the methods used in the lab to design and fabricate milled restorations using digital technology.
  4. Develop multiple treatment pathways that are specific to each patient and clinical team member.
