Synopsis

This session is a repeat of SM04.
Predictable horizontal ridge augmentation with a viable bone flap allows an elegant and minimally invasive dental implant reconstruction. Clinical advances, including office-based CBCT, greatly facilitate diagnosis and surgery. The course will consider various applications of ridge expansion in the esthetic zone and posterior regions to enhance patient care and avoid complications.

Learning Objectives
  1. Contrast healing at Ridge Expansion bone flap with horizontal augmentation and GBR;
  2. Apply CBCT data and clinical evaluation to select the optimal horizontal augmentation technique; and
  3. Discuss instrumentation and modifications based on bone volume and esthetic demands.
