Synopsis

This program reviews the bioethical principles and social obligations incumbent upon OMS residents and practicing surgeons. Designed to address CODA requirements, this program provides a stimulating and thought-provoking review of why being ethical is in everyone's best interest.

Learning Objectives
  1. Recognize the ethical duties and obligations of an oral and maxillofacial surgeon;
  2. Demonstrate the ADA code of professional conduct principles and common sense ethical problem solving method; and
  3. Discuss ethical challenges facing the profession presented by genetics in dental practice, licensure, etc.
