Synopsis

The use of computer-assisted surgery (Virtual Surgical Planning) is becoming common-place in surgical planning, from private offices to large institutions. Focusing on dental implants and orthognathic surgery, this session will discuss and review cases illustrating the potential problem situations clinicians you may encounter while utilizing and/or relying on computer-assisted planning and surgical execution.

Learning Objectives
  1. Utilize virtual surgical planning for orthognathic surgery;
  2. Avoid common pitfalls when utilizing computer-assisted surgical planning and surgical execution in dental implant placement; and
  3. Discuss the applications and benefits of working with clinical engineers to establish surgical treatment plans.
