    Synopsis

    No one can plan for every contingency. Sometimes practice employees and/or owners behave badly. Sometimes outside incidents impact the practice in very negative ways. This session presents a number of such incidents and explains the legal ramifications and appropriate response steps for damage control.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Identify sensitive areas within practice operations and management that are susceptible to behavior potentially damaging to the business;
    2. Explain the appropriate legal or managerial response to various types of unexpected/critical occurrences; and
    3. Identify the areas within the practice where proactive risk management and advance planning are available to limit exposure and reduce long-term damage.
