    Synopsis

    This course has a maximum of 120 seats. Courtesy tickets are no longer available for this course.
    This clinically oriented presentation explores the use of miniplates, miniscrews and other implant fixtures to provide skeletal anchorage for orthodontic tooth movement and treatment of major malocclusions. It will focus on evidence, based technique supported by case presentations. Communication strategies for the surgical-orthodontic team will be included.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Identify malocclusions that would benefit from skeletal anchorage support for orthodontics;
    2. Select appropriate implant fixtures for implant-anchored orthodontic applications; and
    3. Place implant anchors for stability, predictability and optimal use by the orthodontist.
