Treatment of the patient with obstructive sleep apnea should be logically-sequenced, value-driven, and based on evidence available in the medical literature. This session will present a number of complex cases and describe the medical and surgical treatment plans utilized, with an emphasis on an evidence-based approach.
- Successfully manage the patient presenting with a diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea in terms of recommending the most appropriate therapy while avoiding those treatments that are unlikely to be therapeutically helpful; and
- Describe the evidence available in the medical or surgical literature to support both treatments the OMS may offer, such as MMA, as well as treatments available from other providers.
