Synopsis

Brought to you by the CIG on Cosmetics, this course will focus on popular, minimally invasive, office-based facial rejuvenation procedures that can be incorporated into OMS practice. Each treatment addressed will include discussion of clinical indicators, procedural techniques, postoperative considerations, and adverse outcomes and sequelae. Experts in facial and dermatologic cosmetic surgery will present a variety of options for addressing problems with aging skin, facial volume and contour abnormalities. The session will also address the clinical debate on controversial treatment options.

Learning Objectives
  1. Identify facial anatomical changes that require facial rejuvenation procedures;
  2. Describe and discuss various non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment modalities including their respective indications, contraindications, possible complications for the treatment of fine lines and rhytids as well as facial volume restoration and facial contour abnormalities; and
  3. Present various treatment protocols and algorithms for the contemporary OMS in order to better prescribe these non-surgical treatment options for their patients.
