    Synopsis

    This one-day course uses the current American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) curriculum for the emergency evaluation and management of adult patients. The course includes lectures, skills stations, and interactive case-based sessions. Upon successful completion of skills testing and a written exam, the participant will be issued an ACLS provider card. Pre-course preparation is necessary and study material will be provided.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Administer advanced cardiac life support, successfully completing the ACLS course; and
    2. Demonstrate effective communication as a member or leader of a resuscitation team and recognize the impact of team dynamics on overall team performance.
