    Synopsis

    Depending on the population, 3% to 5% of orthodontic patients will require surgical/orthodontic treatment of impacted canines and other teeth. Diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical and orthodontic techniques have evolved extensively over the past 10 years. This evidence-based presentation will help clinicians obtain more rapid, predictable, and esthetic results and facilitate inter-specialty communication.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Better treatment plan for surgical/orthodontic management of impacted teeth;
    2. Use advanced surgical and orthodontic techniques to treat impacted teeth; and
    3. Facilitate better communication between the orthodontist and surgeon regarding the approach to management of impacted teeth.
