Synopsis

Esthetic outcomes of hyaluronic acid lip augmentations are dependent upon proper evaluation of the peristomal anatomy and sound treatment planning. Current lip classification systems are less than ideal for these purposes. This course will present an alternative approach that improves treatment outcome while enhancing doctor/patient communication.

Learning Objectives
  1. Evaluate a patient's peristomal lip anatomy and design an appropriate treatment plan;
  2. Explain to a patient how his/her lip esthetics might be improved and set appropriate expectations; and
  3. Provide treatment that closely resembles the patient's anticipated outcome and documents the doctor’s discussion with the patient and the treatment given.
