Synopsis

This presentation will address the effectiveness of interventions that are used in the management of mandibular condyle fractures. Each surgeon will present his or her view on the main variables that determine their treatment choice: open or closed, pointing out their indications, contraindications, advantages and disadvantages.

Learning Objectives
  1. Treat condyle fractures based on current evidence;
  2. Identify the indications and contraindications of open treatment of condyle fractures; and
  3. Recognize the advantages and disadvantages of various treatments using contemporary surgical techniques.
