Synopsis

Employee claims are one of the faster growing areas of legal disputes in the ambulatory surgical office. Having a fundamental understanding of the legal requirements and acceptable management is essential to avoiding lawsuits and labor board claims. This program will review the law and provide guidance and tips on staff management and protocols for claims avoidance and institution of protective policies.

  1. Understand the risks and requirements of employment law;
  2. Institute legally compliant protocols for employee hiring, duties, compensation and leave; and
  3. Appropriately minimize and respond to employee claims to governmental agencies regarding breaks, leave, compensation and working environment.
