Synopsis
This course will assist the new and experienced practitioner in the successful and efficient set-up for delivery of anesthesia services and preparation for the management of adverse events. A review of methodology, emergency staff preparation, necessary equipment, supplies, forms and arrangement of materials will be reviewed in a simple manner to optimize efficacious, safe, and cost-effective delivery of intravenous and oral sedation services.
Learning Objectives
- Objectively prepare a new or existing office and staff for set-up and delivery of intravenous and oral anesthesia services;
- Have a standard operating procedure in place to enhance staff awareness of activities during an emergency; and
- Review existing equipment and update emergency airway armamentaria.
