    Synopsis

    This program will review clinical techniques and pearls to integrate into clinical practice. Surgical uprighting of impacted second molars, indications and current techniques of apical surgery, and improved outcomes with skeletal anchorage plates will be presented with specific clinical techniques and long-term outcomes. Flap design and suturing to improve access and reduce recession will be also discussed.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Perform surgical uprighting of impacted second molars;
    2. Understand the indications for apical surgery and provide appropriate surgical care; and
    3. Utilize skeletal anchorage plates in an office practice to facilitate orthodontic outcomes.
