    Synopsis

    This course will provide detail about the occurrence, management and outcome of trigeminal nerve injuries through surgical case examples and the latest evidence based medicine to support the treatment medically or surgically of these injuries.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Review the surgical anatomy of the trigeminal nerve, incidence/classification of these injuries and the current literature to support the medical and or surgical management of these injuries;
    2. Understand how the surgical repair of these injuries are performed through the surgeons documented cases; and
    3. Discuss what to do after the injury occurs, when to refer, when to operate, when to contact your malpractice carrier and how to protect yourself legally.
