    Synopsis

    This forum will discuss how federal policy changes affecting the nation’s health care system will impact your patients and your practice. Specific topics to be discussed will include the implications of the federal health reform law and how various payment reform efforts may affect future OMS reimbursement.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Explain the major provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including the role of the Marketplaces;
    2. Evaluate the potential impact of the ACA on dental coverage and how this influences patients and practices; and
    3. Assess physician payment reform and how it may affect oral and maxillofacial surgeon reimbursement.
