Synopsis

This open forum will inform residents about the accomplishments of the Resident Organization over the past year. Those interested in serving as a member of the executive committee will learn about the projects, policies and protocols of the organization and board certification. This program will provide residents an opportunity to learn more about the organization, how to become an active participant, duties and responsibilities of the executive committee and the board certification process.

Learning Objectives
  1. Describe the structure of ROAAOMS;
  2. Discuss the organization's involvement in AAOMS and the dental student community;
  3. Explain the operating guidelines and strategic plan of the resident organization;
  4. Identify the duties and responsibilities of the executive committee and the effectiveness of the committee and various liaisons; and
  5. Relate the board certification process and deadlines.
