Synopsis

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are confronted with interdisciplinary care dilemmas all too frequently. This symposium will explore some of the more common challenges and possible evidence-based remedies by presenting clinical scenarios in a point-counterpoint manner.

  1. List common treatment dilemmas that occur in oral and maxillofacial surgery practice;
  2. Discuss effective mechanisms that can be utilized to resolve some of these challenges; and
  3. Describe the evidence supporting the proposed solutions.
