Synopsis

Attend the OMS Faculty Summit and share ideas and issues confronting faculty and OMS residency programs. The AAOMS Faculty Section Executive Committee hopes this Summit will allow for collaboration and brainstorming on key issues and challenges facing the specialty and dental/medical education as a whole.

Learning Objectives
  1. Describe the accreditation challenges with resident duty hours;
  2. Identify the successful training models for resident and faculty enrichment;
  3. Describe the benefits of a national surgical log for OMS residency programs;
  4. Apply resident evaluation outcomes to program assessment and improvement; and
  5. Recognize specific content that is germane to the core of residency education and training.
