Synopsis

This session will focus on immediate versus staged implant/bone graft reconstruction of dentoalveolar injuries.

Learning Objectives
  1. Discuss wound healing of the traumatized dentoalveolus and the overlying soft tissue envelope;
  2. Develop a rationale for the immediate versus staged treatment of traumatized teeth and alveolus based on evaluation and diagnosis of the injury; and
  3. Discuss long-term prognosis and outcomes for immediate versus staged treatment.
