Synopsis

This program has been developed by the Special Committee on Maxillofacial Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery, and will address future directions of therapy for dysplasia. Surgical and non-surgical treatment protocols will be presented, including medical therapies, surgical excision, and laser ablation.

Learning Objectives
  1. Describe the biological behavior of oral epithelial dysplastic lesions;
  2. Apply best practice treatment protocols in the management of patients with premalignant oral lesions; and
  3. Describe the current limitations of modalities (imaging and pathology) for diagnosing oral epithelial dysplastic lesions.
