Synopsis

This forum will address new healthcare delivery systems and their impact on the OMS practice, as well as presentations on four practice models including employment in an integrated delivery system and impact on scope of practice, physician owned multi-specialty group, employment in a corporate dental group, and the single specialty group practice.

Learning Objectives
  1. Discuss the changing healthcare marketplace as it affects the practice of OMS;
  2. Discuss CMS regulatory requirements that may affect hospital anesthesia privileges and the impact of hospitalists on OMS scope of practice; and
  3. Develop a plan to maximize the viability of the OMS practice.
