Synopsis
This course will examine and explain the various methods used to compensate practice owners and associates, and how the methods reward work effort, reputation, clinical production, management and group philosophy. Equitably accounting for overhead, benefits and doctors’ expenses will also be discussed.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss various methods of dividing income among practice owners and associates at all career levels;
- Reiterate typical standards available within groups for deciding what income sources should or should not be counted; and
- Evaluate alternatives for crediting production based on charges, collections or other methods, as well as fixed and variable overhead allocation to providers.
