Synopsis

Contiguous Sinus Floor Elevation (CSFE) and advanced osteotome techniques offer predictable large elevations (5-8 mm) as a minimally invasive approach with simultaneous single-stage implant insertion. These techniques offer a shorter healing interval and minimal discomfort. CT imaging is important for evaluation of alveolar and sinus anatomy for appropriate technique selection.

Learning Objectives
  1. Discuss the advantages of minimally invasive sinus elevation techniques;
  2. Explain the indications and contraindications for Trans Alveolar Sinus Elevation; and
  3. Apply CBCT diagnosis in technique selection and avoiding complications.
