Synopsis
Contiguous Sinus Floor Elevation (CSFE) and advanced osteotome techniques offer predictable large elevations (5-8 mm) as a minimally invasive approach with simultaneous single-stage implant insertion. These techniques offer a shorter healing interval and minimal discomfort. CT imaging is important for evaluation of alveolar and sinus anatomy for appropriate technique selection.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the advantages of minimally invasive sinus elevation techniques;
- Explain the indications and contraindications for Trans Alveolar Sinus Elevation; and
- Apply CBCT diagnosis in technique selection and avoiding complications.
