Synopsis
Digital technology (CBCT and IO digital scanning) has changed surgical implant practice. This course will demonstrate how to implement and market this technology in the oral and maxillofacial surgery practice.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the science supporting intraoral digital scanning, its application to implant dentistry and its implementation in an OMS practice;
- Discuss the importance of digital technology (CBCT and intraoral scanning) and the vital role surgeons have in implementing the technology in implant dentistry; and
- Describe digital implant dentistry, CBCT and 3D treatment planning, and CT-based guides and interpret how these technologies aid in treatment planning, successful surgeries and practice growth.
