Synopsis

Less than 10% of OMSs use inhalation anesthetics. Sevoflurane is a safe and effective way to provide anesthesia in OMS offices. This course will describe how to safely and successfully begin using sevoflurane anesthesia in offices.

Learning Objectives
  1. Describe the use of sevoflurane to provide general anesthesia;
  2. Describe the risks and benefits of closed airway inhalational anesthetic techniques; and
  3. Distinguish patient populations that would benefit from inhalational anesthetics.
