Synopsis
This presentation will illustrate effective emergency simulations, protocols and checklists based on the AAOMS Office Anesthesia Evaluation Manual, AAOMS Parameters of Care and online emergency preparedness resources provided by AAOMS.

- Describe three ways checklists are effective tools for preparing the team to manage anesthetic emergencies;
- Discuss three ways effective simulations can be used to prepare the team to handle anesthetic emergencies; and
- List three ways in which lack of adequate office records can impair legal defense against allegations during professional liability litigation.
