Synopsis
Management of BRONJ continues to present a dilemma. Most guidelines limit surgical intervention for advanced stages of the disease leaving most of these patients with a chronic condition and increased chance for infections. We present a series of cases with different stages of the disease successfully treated with surgical intervention.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the etiology and pathogenesis of BRONJ;
- Identify education issues and communication gaps with our medical colleagues regarding BRONJ, prevention and management; and
- Demonstrate the surgical management of BRONJ.
