    Synopsis

This presentation will provide a practical update on common skin disorders of the head and neck and their uncommon but important clinical mimics. Lesion documentation, various biopsy techniques and skin microanatomy are highlighted. Numerous dermatologic conditions organized into a high-yield clinical differential diagnosis based on color, clinical morphology or anatomic site will be discussed.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Expand the list of patient interview questions or considerations when evaluating dermatologic lesions of the head and neck, and utilize the SCALD mnemonic to facilitate documentation of the clinical features of dermatologic lesions; and
    2. Enhance the formation of a clinical differential diagnosis of selected dermatologic lesions occurring on the head and neck.
