    Synopsis

    The presence of intact buccal plate has been identified as a critical prognostic sign for optimal esthetic outcomes in maxillary anterior implant esthetics. Compromised buccal plates, however, do not necessarily lead to esthetic failures when appropriate surgical and prosthetic principles are applied.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Overcome the barrier of compromised buccal plates to achieve esthetic outcomes on anterior implant cases;
    2. Fabricate a chairside screw-retained provisional; and
    3. Place the implant in correct 3D position in order to assure esthetic outcome.
