    Synopsis

The fixtures used to retain bone-anchored hearing systems and prosthetic devices must be placed in desirable locations and into an adequate thickness of bone. A simple technique utilizing a routine CT scan provides an accurate intraoperative guide to safe and stable fixture placement.

    Learning Objectives
    1. Transfer CT data to the operative field to increase the likelihood of selecting optimal locations for craniofacial implants; and
    2. Discuss how standard CT data may be used to pinpoint implant placement sites.
