Synopsis
This session discusses the software, treatment planning, restorative and surgical protocols, and instrumentation of CT-guided implant technologies. A hands-on session with five major guided-surgery manufacturers participating with computers, instrumentation and personnel is planned. Attendees can compare guided-surgery products side-by-side, in one location.
Learning Objectives
- Evaluate new CT-guided technologies and make appropriate clinical, treatment planning and technology decisions;
- Describe how CT-guided surgery can improve patient outcomes by using concepts of ideal implant placement following the principles of a restoratively driven treatment plan; and
- Explain how new digital technologies can significantly increase their restorative/prosthodontic knowledge base and strengthen their communication skills with their referral base, thus potentially expanding their practices.
