Synopsis
Treatment of the patient with obstructive sleep apnea should be logically sequenced, value-driven and based on evidence available in the medical literature. This session will present a number of complex cases and describe the medical and surgical treatment plans utilized, emphasizing an evidence-based approach.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the spectrum of treatments available to manage the patient with sleep-disordered breathing/obstructive sleep apnea; and
- Identify the evidence (where available) to support treatment decisions in patients with sleep disordered breathing or OSA, and also note where the evidence is lacking.
