Synopsis
Due to facial bone resorption, a ridge may be narrow and require augmentation for implant placement. This session will describe in detail the methods to augment the posterior mandible using particulate graft material combined with membranes. The anterior maxilla thin ridges may extend full arch to one tooth.
Learning Objectives
- Use a tunnel method to augment the narrow posterior mandible;
- Use PGA/PLA foils to retain grafts in 1-2 tooth size narrow ridge sites; and
- Graft multiple narrow ridge sites in one procedure followed by flapless implant placement.
