Medtronic Spinal: Infuse Bone Graft - Predictable, Native Bone Regeneration for Maxillary Sinus Augmentation and Localized Ridge Augmentation without Autogenous Bone Harvesting
This is a ticketed session.Robert Marx DDS
Miami, FL, USA
This session will focus on identifying the baseline osteogenic capacity of individual targeted implant sites, and matching that capacity to the appropriate graft material and procedure needed to generate vascular, vital bone for long-term functional and esthetic implant success. Two common procedures will be reviewed, sinus augmentation and localized alveolar ridge augmentation for defects associated with extraction sockets, to illustrate how various site characteristics, defect sizes, and compromised local tissue can result in suboptimal outcomes if the graft material does not address the specific needs of the site. Various bone grafting options available to clinicians will be discussed, along with individual methods of bone formation and data that supports the use of various materials in challenging cases. Bone grafting options reviewed will include particulate, xenogeneic and allogeneic scaffolds, scaffolds, patient-derived enhancers, autografts and rhBMP-2/ACS.
